What is the Gospel?

The Gospel is the “Good News”

“Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you —  unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.” 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

The Gospel is the Good News that God loved you so much that He sent His only Son as a sacrifice to pay for your sins. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

  1. His life was given in substitution for yours.
  2. His death on the cross is how your sins are forgiven.

The Good News is that Jesus rose from the dead and all who receive Him will have eternal life.

The Good News is that He is coming again to take those who receive Him to heaven with Him, forever. We cannot work our way to heaven or be good enough to win a place in heaven.

The Good News is that the requirement for eternal life is not how good we are but how good Jesus is.

The Good News is that He paid the penalty of death for our sins, and all that is left for us to do is to believe and receive Him as our Savior and Lord.

Receive Jesus today and receive eternal life!

God Bless You!
